CHARLIE BUILDS A FLYING MACHINE TO THE AFTERLIFE
book & lyrics by Jesse Gage
music by Danny Ursetti
A melodically driven piano pop musical about the comedy of living and the tragedy of dying, or the tragedy of living and the comedy of dying. Times are good for 10-year-old Charlie, but when his mom dies unexpectedly, he’s left to try and solve the mysteries of mortality and fix his broken dad who refuses to get off the couch. In the end, Charlie builds a Flying Machine to the Afterlife using Legos, toy pieces, and broken appliances that may not get them to the afterlife, but does get his dad off the couch.
